Description

Efficiency
Regulation (EU) 2019/1781 of the European Commission of 1 October 2019 establishes requirements for the efficiency of electric motors and continuously variable speed control systems based on Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council, Regulation (EC) No. 641/2009.
Details of the directive https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/PL/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32019R1781&from=EN
Insulation class
In all presented engines, class F insulation is used (operating temperature up to 155 ° C).
All motors with non-fractional power have PTC temperature sensors built into the windings, which, when using the appropriate motor switch, allows the motor to be turned off automatically if the permissible winding temperature is exceeded.
The insulation system of these motors allows them to be powered by a current frequency converter (inverter).
Level of security
The motors offered have an IP55 degree of protection according to EN 60034, which means that the motors are resistant to the penetration of dust in quantities that interfere with their work and the flow of water from any direction.
Engine construction
Motors up to mechanical size 160 are in aluminum housings.
Motors from mechanical size 180 are made in a cast iron housing.
The bodies have a structure that allows the motor to be configured with a terminal box located:
- at the top,
- to the right,
- on the left side.
As standard, the motors are delivered with a terminal box at the top.
Łożyska
Motors up to mechanical size 180 are equipped with shielded bearings (ZZ or 2RS) and do not require maintenance.
Motors from mechanical size 200 are equipped with grease nipples. The lubricant should be refilled in accordance with the technical documentation.
Cooling
In the electric motor, the cooling function is performed by a standard fan mounted on the shaft and covered with a cover.
Due to the fact that the fan is mounted directly on the motor shaft, the cooling efficiency is closely related to the rotational speed of the shaft.
Motors with adjustable speed, e.g. intended for operation with inverters, in which the speed will be reduced below the rated speed, should be equipped with an independent cooling system (so-called external cooling). When the engine speed is reduced, the efficiency of the standard fan mounted on the shaft decreases and the engine cooling conditions significantly deteriorate. Thanks to the use of an external cooling system, the engine cooling intensity is constant and independent of its rotational speed.
Connection method
The electric motor must be connected in accordance with safety standards.
Before connecting, make sure that:
– the supply voltage value is consistent with that given on the nameplate;
– the connection method in the motor terminal box is consistent with the supply voltage.
If, after starting the engine, the direction of shaft rotation is incorrect, swap the power cables on two phases.
