POSITION OF THE SNAIL TRANSMISSION - IDENTIFICATION
On the nameplate, the worm gear ratio is indicated as "and"

- if the plate is illegible, and the transmission is operational, rotate the worm to perform a full rotation of the scroll. The amount of screw rotation per revolution of the scroll wheel is the ratio. For larger ratios, for example i = 100, you can, for example, make a quarter turn of the scroll wheel and multiply the amount of rotation of the screw by four;
- if the plate is illegible, and the transmission is out of order, it is necessary to dismount the auger and worm wheel, count the number of teeth of the scroll wheel and count the snail's multiplicity.
Counting the teeth on the scroll wheel is not a problem. The problem lies in identifying the snail multiplicity. We will explain:
By definition: The snail's helix is the number of starts of the helix of the thread in any cross-section perpendicular to the axis of the screw. Easier: this is the amount of sharp indentations on the cochlea (the points on the line are marked with a circle). Multiplicity is shown in the figure below where each thread turn is marked with a different color.
If the multiplicity is identified, then the translation counts from the formula i = z2 / z1where z2 - number of worm wheel teeth, z1 - snail fold.

ENGINE CONNECTOR - MEASUREMENT
The transmission connection defines the diameter of the hole in the drive axis and the diameter of the collar. The motor connection defines the diameter of the shaft and the diameter of the flange. In order for the transmission to be connected to a given motor, its connection must match the motor connection, which means that the diameters of the gearbox and motor shaft have to be of the same diameter and the diameters of the flanges must have the same diameters. It happens that a gear with a smaller shaft is fitted with a gear opening with one degree more, using a so-called reduction sleeve. However, motor flanges must have absolutely identical diameters. Reduction sleeves are widely used to speed up the order.
