Description
We provide shaft machining services (drive and output). On the basis of technical documentation or the provided standard, we can make shafts of various sizes and shapes from any materials. We have the ability to make toothed shafts, with keyways, multi-line, with journals with rectangular cross-sections, etc.
One-sided and double-sided shafts for all transmissions from our offer are available from stock.
Worm shafts - snails
The screw is a drive element of a worm gear having the character of a single-turn or multi-turn modular screw, whose axial pitch is proportional to the number π and an axial screw module. Snails are usually made of chromium steel for 40H heat treatment, 16HG carburizing alloy as well as C45 low carbon construction steel.
We offer various versions of snails, from which you can distinguish:
- with engine hole;
- double-sided worm with motorized holes;
- WBS - screw ended with a driving pin;
- with a hole + WBS - there is a hole on one side of the worm and a driving pin on the other;
- WBS2 - two-sided auger with driving pins.
We make snails on request:
- on any shaping of the pivots;
- according to the provided technical documentation;
- based on the measurements of the delivered screw;
- with right / left thread skew;
- multi-turns (2, 3, 4, 6-turns);
- with ground teeth.
HOW TO POLICE THE NUMBER OF SALIMUM WEDGES
Snail multiplicity is the number of starts of the thread line in any cross-section perpendicular to the axis of the screw. Easier: this is the amount of sharp indentations on the cochlea (the points on the line are marked with a circle). Multiplicity is shown in the figure below where each thread turn is marked with a different color.
If the multiplicity is identified, then the translation counts from the formula i = z2 / z1where z2 - number of worm wheel teeth, z1 - snail fold.
